Step 1: Download TextPad at textpad.com 

Step 2: Search for Forums in Dmoz and in  Google then join a few that are of interest to you. Take part and look for problems that people seem to have. Start to create a list of common questions and problems that people in your niche seem to have.

Step 3: Search keywords and keyword phrases at inventory.overture.com and create a list a good keywords in your textpad file.

Step 4: Simplify the entire process by setting up an account at Wordtracker which will automate much of the research process for you. 

Step 5: Lastly, visit Google and search for your specific keywords. Are there any advertisers paying to advertise their products or service?
